ESTIVALES 2026
Divonnette on the water
Auntie Annie recounts the wonderful journey of the Divonnette water drop, how it falls from a cloud over the Monts Jura, emerges from the earth in a Divonnette spring, swims in the river, turns the turbine at Moulin David, and sets off on an adventure...
La goutte d'eau Divonnette is an adventurer. She loves to travel, in the sky, on land, underground and with fish. Aunt Annie loves to tell stories about her journey. She likes to make children aware of the water cycle. Divonne-les-Bains is a particularly apt setting for this experience: it's a tranquil setting surrounded by greenery on a pedestrian circuit. Strollers are welcome. So can wheelchair users. The tour has two stops. You enter the former hydroelectric plant of the Société des Bains (Moulin David). Here you can see how Divonnette and her friends turn the turbine that drives the dynamo. Madame Dynamo generates electricity! She lights the lamps! Magnificent! We're off to see the water return to the Mother River. As we pass a lovely wood-panelled building, we talk about the mills, then play Goose. Auntie Annie explains the drawings. The little ones will probably want to stop there. The older ones will want to carry on. We'll go on to the place du bief to see the big waterfall. Auntie Annie will talk a little more about mills. And then the big question: Where's Divonnette going? Hey! Hey! Hey! We finish (this is the optional moment) with the Divonnette dance (a pantomime that repeats Aunt Annie's gestures in cadence).
Departure from in front of the cinema-theater.
