Hike from Divonne to Chavannes (Switzerland) through fields, passing through Grilly with a beautiful view of the Alps.

Start : Divonne les Bains-Parking de l'école d'Arbère

Access : By car : Join the Arbère school parking lot

Route description:
Join the voie verte and turn right. Cross the road at the wooden barriers and follow the asphalt path. You'll come to another set of wooden barriers, pass them and continue on your way. You'll probably see some horses on your left. At the end you enter Grilly, follow the cycle path and cross the parking lot on your left. Go along the children's park on your left and take the small path to the right. At the end, stay on the left-hand sidewalk and pass the first fountain. Continue straight ahead along the asphalt road, where you'll find a second fountain.
Once you've passed the second fountain, you'll come to the first fork in the road. This path through the fields is not tarmacked, so continue along it and turn left at the new junction. Cross the bridge over the Versoix river, you are now in Switzerland. Continue along this road and turn left at the intersection, where an orange sign points you in the direction of "Nyon". Continue straight ahead through the fields, enjoying the scenery until you reach the main asphalt road.
Turn left and cross back over to the French side.
At the traffic circle, turn left and stay on the small asphalt path that runs alongside the road. At the end of the road, cross the Carrefour supermarket and continue straight ahead at the traffic circle, heading for the forest. Continue along this road, past the right-hand bend and uphill until you reach the main road.
Cross the road, keep going up and at the wooden barriers, turn left, then you'll reach the school parking lot at the end of the greenway.
