This walk will bring you closer to the bas-monts and the village of Vesancy.

Departure: Parking du Mont-Mussy

Road access: From Gex, head towards Divonne and turn right before entering the town. Mont Mussy is accessed via a small road.
TER line Bellegarde sur Valserine -Divonne les Bains

Elevation gain: 400m

On the way: Chestnut trees, Riantmont chapel, Vesancy village, old road from GEx to Mourex known as "chemin des Genêts", Mourex village.

Route description:
From Mont-Mussy, follow the signs for Mont-Mourex as far as the "rendez vous des chasseurs"; here, turn right towards "Bois sous Roche", then cross the D984 and head up towards the village of Vesancy. Turn left into the village, then right towards the Riantmont chapel.
Continue on to "La Combette", then "Saint Martin", before descending to "Chaumois", then "Péroset". Reach a railroad underpass on the road leading to the campsite and take a path along the old railway line towards Mourex. Follow the Chemin des Genêts to Mourex and then Le Mont before arriving at the starting point.
