In this autobiographical story, full of tenderness and humor, Pagnol recounts his childhood memories in Provence—amidst the hills, summer vacations, and adventures shared with his family and his friend Lili des Bellons. Through simple, warm, and vivid prose, he brings to life the beauty of childhood memories, as well as the passage of time and the nostalgia for happy moments.
