Who hasn't laughed at someone dumber than themselves? The principle of the "dîners de cons" is extremely simple: each guest introduces an "idiot" to his or her friends, and the one whose guest stands out most for his or her stupidity is declared the winner.
On this Wednesday evening, Pierre Brochant, a wealthy Parisian publisher, is delighted because he's convinced he's found the ideal idiot: a certain François Pignon, who works as an accountant at the Ministry of Finance, and whose passion for matchstick models makes him the perfect candidate to host a dinner party worthy of the name.
